Do you use PGP to encrypt email?

Does anyone use PGP to encrypt their email? It's a great idea and a neat concept, but very few people I know use it, which makes it impractical for my use. There's even a plugin for Firefox to let you use PGP with Gmail.

we use pgp for other things but not for email. i know it has the plug-in for outlook but never played with it.

I use it for work to encrypt/decrypt confidential attachments from one of our third party clients.

No, its not like anyone would be able to do any damage by seeing what i send to people.

no, PGP email is outdated and like you said, not everyone uses it.

nowadays, you tell your mail client to encrypt, it talks to the mailserver and the mail is encrypted and stored online behind ssl. the recipient gets a link to the encrypted mail and views the email online behind ssl.

pgp is good for encrypting attachments, but really, when was the last time an IT guy lets an encrypted attachment pass his mail filter? 2001? the file will most likely be quarantined, forgotten, and deleted after 30 days.
