I use my IntelliMouse Explorer v3 for gaming and it couldn't be better, it's a lot better than my old ball mouse, and I mostly play 3rd Person Shooters and FPS's.

It's impossible for me to use an optical mouse for gaming; when I play most games, I have a horrible habbit of lifting the mouse too much, so tracking is never good on an optical.

i love both my intellimouse optical and mouseman optical. both of them work far better than the ball mouse when playing any type of game. i guess it depends on your mousepad. it works great on my func surfuce 1030.

Logitech Mouseman Optical - love the thing. Nice design (right handed only though) and just a cool mouse.

I use the older, bulkier version of the Intellimouse Explorer for gaming and everything else I do. I know the newer one has a higher frequency (i think that's what you call it). But I like the older one because of the bigger buttons on the side.

It works great for everything I do, including CS, UT and countless other games. At first I had trouble getting used to it, because the way it tracks is a little different from what I was used to with a ball, but now its great.

My original Microsoft Intellieye Explorer mouse is far better than any ball mouse. It's always extremely accurate and highly responsive.

I'll never go back to ball mice again.
