Do you use Mozilla/Netscape?

I just installed mozilla firebird and I must say this is the closest thing that may well convert me to the umm light side?
The tab obviously adds another dimension to the browsing.

Also a Mozilla user since about 0.9.4 here.. The fact that you have to install extra software to get a popup blocker in IE is ludicrous, as are the NUMEROUS security issues with it. Remote root exploits through a freakin' web browser? Gah... Puke.

I tried out firebird but switched back to mozilla.

better integration of mail/news than fire/thunderbird, moz was almost as fast on my box (2500+/1gb ram), and firebird still carries a few bugs that moz fixed a long time ago. I also liked the UI for moz better than firebird, particularly the bookmark management and searching in the URL.

that said, I love moz.

(I'm a front-end web developer by trade.)

No way - they're too bloated. I need applications to open the instant I click on them - waiting for daily-use software such as a browser or media player to open for more than 0.5 seconds is not cool.

Ha, I clicked on IE first then Firebird, but FB started first

What does is matter how fast my comp is? Faster programs starts faster than slower progs on any comp. BTW, when did an Althon XP 1700 become slow?

It's slower because it booted Firebird faster? 😕
