WARNING: Shameless help-me-with-my-homework thread.

I'm doing a small survey on apps like Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Hangouts and other instant messaging apps for a project in my research methodology class. If you use any kind of instant messaging app on your mobile phone or tablet, please please please REDACTED. It'll take three minutes at the most.

Your survey is terrible. What if I use something once or twice a week? I either use it every day or I don't use it at all. Stopped reading after that.
 
everyone I need to message is on FB Messenger thankfully. For as many millions who are on WhatsApp, I only see like 6 people I know on there. Uninstall.

The options of phone/tablet/phablet is terrible. People's definition of phablet varies (5 inch or more? 5.5" or more? 7"?). And for a lot of people that do believe they use a 'phablet', most of the time it's their only 'phone'. I think that question is wasted because you won't be able to get any information from the answers.

I am the opposite. Zero on FB Messenger and more than 200 contacts on WhatsApp. There are some stickler friends that unfortunately is sticking with Blackberry Messaging so I had to install that, too. Personally, I'd rather everyone switch to Google Hangouts, but that's not happening any time soon (or likely ever).

Whatever it is, it's probably worth 25 billion in Facebook's eyes. :biggrin:

I only really use Facebook messenger since that's where most of my friends are. I used to use MSN Messenger a lot too, mostly for gaming/online friends but they scraped that a while back so I moved to using Facebook more.

I don't trust it at all for security though, I know everything is being monitored.

I couldn't fill that out because I do not use an instant messaging app and that was not an answer on some of the required questions.
