Poor drivers are my ultimate pet peeve. One of the things that really gets on my nerves is when people do not keep their speed (most notably on the highway), driving faster and slower with no regards to the people around them (passing excluded). Do you cruise?

Yes.
No.

I get sleepy if I don't have enough going on so I'm a safer driver without the cruise engaged. But I'm a very consistent driver, I don't fluctuate more than 1-2 mph on the long hwy drives.

if i'm on the 401 (major highway) i set the cruise to 15 km over and cruise the day away

that's pretty much the only time i use it. i can't use it on the expressway because it's too crazy 0_0

Yes and Yes, when ever possible.
Not in city traffic obviously, but on the freeway? Anytime the flow of traffic permits.

What kind of car do the people that voted no have?

Unless it's winter here then you can bet it gets turned on provided you are not in any town / city for obvious reasons..

doesnt sound that hard

i use cruise if i know ill be driving the same speed for more than a few minutes, so basically never in town.

The idea of hypermiling is cool if you're not concerned about half of the city hunting you down in your sleep.

Almost 100% of the time. As soon as I hit posted speed, engage cruise. 30mph, 45mph, 75mph. Whatever.

Only when driving on the open highway. not on the highways in the cities.

After 30 minutes of highway driving, I just can't keep a steady speed. I always end up speeding unless I cruise.

Depends on the traffic and the wind. My truck upshifting because I'm driving into the wind with cruise control sucks for mpg but it's nice just cruising by everyone when you hit a hill.

I think I average something like 19mpg on the highway when I'm not doing 85+ in my 2001 Chevy 1500 Z71, I actually got 17.2mpg hauling a trailer from Edmond, Oklahoma to Fort Collins, Colorado with cruise on 95% of the time. I was stunned.
