Do you use computer-slang in your everyday speech?

When I am with close friends, or my girlfriend, I will use them a lot, actually. All of my friends don't dwell into the computer "scene" as much as me. So they'll hear me use these words out loud:

1) own/owned (in the face)
2) pwn
3) lol (pronounced el oh el)
4) r0x0r
5) H@X/haxoring

Edit: A lot of my friends have picked up these words, too.

Otherwise, when I am around my office, I'll talk normal, and I avoid using such speech.

Maybe I'm just a huge nerd :laugh: Hey, I do have friends though!

everyonce in awhile here lately I find myself saying I heart this or that. not really computer lingo i guess.

but I use pwnt or pwned (with the p sound) at lans and the like. w00t and r0x0r i use alot as well. I am a geek, my 2 thumbdrives are more than enough proof

I use "hacker jargon" (e.g. blinkenlichten, bag on the side) but I never use AOLisms like LOL in speech.

ditto. as well owned and pwned. i have friends who aren't that savvy with comps, but they know what I'm talking when I say that someone got owned.

yeah she was on TechTV so long ago. i believe her exact words were something along the lines of:

"I don't call my self a l33t hax0r, but I am a hacker."

I use the words owned, woot, and I <3 _____ (I heart ____. But in defense there was also a movie that used this in the title).

A few times I've heard someone say "lol" (el oh el) and it really bugs me. Just laugh like a normal person would, you don't need to say the letters!

No, and it pisses me off when people (non-nerds) do. I love how the expression own/owned is in such widespread use now. It does piss me off though to hear nerds say lol or other stupid ones like that, because honestly that's not a slip of the mind, that's just you trying to be funny and failing horribly enough that you deserve to have a scimitar castrate you while a thousand ninja stars are thrown at your body.
