ClearType is great, on both CRTs and LCDs. Sub-pixel anti-aliasing is the default setting on OSX, bummer that you have to search to turn it on with XP. Most people probably don't even know it's there...

I'm trying to decide if I like it or not. It seems blurry but I don't know if its because I just need to get used to it or not.
I think I saw that once but never used it. At work I have my laptop screen and a big 21" monitor at the same time so dont' know if it would scre wup one to make the other look better....
On my 2005fpw/dvi I find myself starting to squint as I read 12 point font (times, ariel) over a period of a few hours, but now with cleartype the lettering has more "meat" to it and my eyes feel more relaxed.
I'll definatly continue trying it, but as of now I think it's a keeper.
Samsung 19" LCD DVI - looks terrible
Samsung 17" LCD analog - looks ok but prefer normal
Dell 20" LCD DVI - looks terrible
Ipaq 3.8" 320x240 - looks *AWFUL* ( instant headache inducing )
Ipaq 4" 640x480 - looks pretty good
My conclusion - gets better the higher the resolution/screen size ratio is, and each person's mileage will probably vary based on how good their eyesight is and how close to the screen they sit.
For those who don't like it / say it's blurry... do you wear glasses/contacts ? Just trying to understand how someone can say it's blurry... it's sharp as can be the way I see it.
