I'm not sure what you're asking.

IIRC, that addon was originally meant for disabled gamers who had limited movement in their hands. I can't testify if it improves reaction time for able bodied gamers. As for it being "legal", how's anybody going to know unless you're broadcasting or at a LAN party.

If you go into the store section of their website, you'd see it's available for both Microsoft and Sony's systems. Just not Nintendo.

Allowed where? In competition? Probably not, unless you have a disability. Although, in the FGC, there are mods tournaments allow (plink mods, for instance) and others that aren't.

Why would it be illegal....all it is doing it changing the mechanical characters of how your hand interfaces with the controller. There is no actual controller modification other than a bolt on kit. Like Mmntech said, it will benefit someone who has trouble using a controller in its default configuration, but how it can enhance anything is beyond me; you can only be as fast as the slowest part.

My opinion is that if you suck without it, you'll still suck with it...except a bit poorer.

I don't think that is necessarily true. It looks like, in an FPS, you can keep your thumbs on the analog sticks the entire time and use your index and middle fingers to manipulate the buttons. This can help, as you can keep your fingers on the sticks at all times. Now, before fancy devices like this, some of use learned to use 'claw' style of holding and using middle finger strictly for trigger action (which was natural from playing paintball). It could certainly give you an advantage. How much of one? Well, likely not that large.

True it might offer an advantage, though at the same time it might help normalize someone who is at a disadvantage do to oversize or undersize hands. I see your point though that in some hands it could make a difference....whether that translates into better stats remains to be seen.

I find it to be gimmicky but I'll leave it to everyone else to decide if it's a good product. :)
