It is the best purchase I have ever made. Much better on my eyes and I now have so much for room on my desk. I am not a big (or serious) gamer, but I play CounterStrike and Max Payne on it without any problem.
The only thing I dislike about it is that it is not DVI. Oh well I didn't have a dvi video card when I bought it anyways.
I too have a LCD on my lap. Speaking of which. Recently it started going very dark on the left side. If I turn the computer off for a while it fixes itself. If I just reboot or turn the comp off for a few minutes it is still like that. I just hate to send it to dell right now.
Yes, I love it. I have a 15" Dell LCD. My only grip is that its got an analog connection only and the resolution is limited to 1024x768. I'm looking to buy one of the 20" Dell LCD that are 1600x1200 and have DVI.
I'm just about to jump over to a LCD myself. I have a 19 inch V95 and it's been ok, but has started to go on me. I warrantied it once, and the issue i had with brightness promptly came back again. I am a little scared in that i'm going to go down to a 15inch screen from 19 and i'm worried that it will be too small. My thinking is that the clearer picture and the lack of flicker will make the extra space a relative non-issue for me. My buddy went to an LCD and he swears by it now. I do like gaming too and i think with a low response time LCD it should be great...plus i also play with TV out too which can feed my big screen fix...now if only tv out had a igher resolution...then i'd be happy.
I'm testing a Dell 1503FP with DVI connection (GF3 Ti200) and it looks great. I'm considering permanently trading in my 19" Dell trinitron. If it was a 17" LCD monitor it would be no contest.
I have a Planar 18.1" flat panel, and I love it. Use it for gaming, no problems at all (never seen any kind of ghosting). I use the DVI interface on it, though the flat panel supports both DVI and analog.
Once they can hit 32-bit color and you can choose more than one resolution without it looking like crap, then maybe I'll get one - for now they're just a new toy...
