No, but it sounds intriguing. I hate flossing, it's so tedius, and I don't do it as often as I should. Is it like those things at the dentist that shoot a jet of water at ultrasonic frequencies?

I brush and dental floss.
Mine just shoots a stream of pulsing water it sure get the junk out.

I tried an old one once. It didn't seem very effective. Maybe newer ones are better?

I never floss because of effort and time it takes.

However I do recognize flossing is amazing when I do get around to doing it.

Flossing hasn't made much difference to me personally. Only 2-3 cavities my entire life and those are on the biting surface of the teeth, not the flossing sides.

I know flossing was all the health rage. But I think there are studies coming out indicating it's overrated or not as required? Let me google.

I used one for a bit but it had worse results than flossing when I went to the dentist after using it for 4 months.

I used to brush but not floss, my dentist said I had great teeth and terrible gums. I ended up with some significant bone loss and pocketing in my back molars. The water flosser is awesome for making sure the problem doesn't get worse and that I can keep my natural teeth.

I OCCASIONALLY do normal floss. That's about it. I don't even brush enough. I also still (somehow) never really get cavities anymore... I got them as a kid off and on once or twice.

I really think I just got lucky with my teeth genetics. I know plenty that have to brush their teeth 3 times a day, floss twice, etc..

Make sure to google in a way to confirm your bias such as "Article showing flossing isn't important" 😉

Well, I have one, haven't been using it. My dentist suggested using the "pick pocket" tip for a problem area I have and use Listerine, not plain water. I'm meaning to do it, have the tip, haven't gotten around to it.

I floss, water pick, brush, then Listerine rinse. It amazes me still how much food particles the water pick still gets out from between my teeth even after flossing.

I'm an old fart and still have my wisdom teeth. The only way I'll be able to keep them is if I water pick where it is extremely hard to floss.

My dentist talked me into having my wisdom teeth removed a long time ago. They were fine, but he said that it's difficult to keep them sufficiently clean to retain them in good health and they are more trouble than they are worth to keep.

I floss, brush and use a perio-aid with toothpick.

They are not "flossers" they are water "picks" and they are not to be used to replace regular flossing but rather to be a supplement to it if you'd like.

At least that is what my dentist told me when I asked about them.

I always thought a waterpic was the brand name of a water flosser.
Maybe, but the water "flossers" in general aren't meant to replace traditional flossing, just compliment it, according to my dentist.

Generally speaking, flossing only sucks because most people don't do it often enough and it hurts and is uncomfortable. Once you do it regularly, your gums toughen up and it's not really uncomfortable just annoying.

I use floss picks though since they are just faster and easier to use. I pretty much always floss daily for like 2-3 weeks after my 6 month cleaning, then it turns into every couple days, then maybe once a week, then I just don't do it for like the last month except occasionally until my next appointment. Then the cycle starts over.
