I do enjoy the iTunes album art and RSS feed screensavers, and I have them on for about ten minutes for eyecandy, then have it set my display to sleep. I don't really have a reason for using them, other than they look cool.

My monitor shuts off after 20 mins as well, but I do have a screensaver, but its just My Pictures folder, I rarely see it, cuz it comes on after like 15 minutes...usually I just turn my monitors off when I leave
