FYI, before 2000, error was purposely introduced into GPS signals with correction only available to the military. With "Selective Availability" GPS accuracy was limited to about 100 meters. There was no navigation on cars before 2000 was there? With 100 meter error, it wouldn't be viable.

Thanks Billy Boy. Now I know the real reason I couldn't get a Nav system in my 2000 Maxima. Now that I have it in my 2005, I can't live without Navigation.
