Do you turn your computer off?

My main home system I turn off when it's not being used. Mostly because I already have two low-power servers running that eat up enough of the landlords electricity... I don't want to give him an excuse to raise rent AGAIN!!!

At work, I leave it on all week, then turn off on the weekends.

After shutting down, I turn off my rig and all peripherals at my UPS. That way nothing uses juice even in standby mode. It's a habit I picked up during the CA electricity crisis a couple of years back.

Bingo! It's getting colder here in N.E., gotta fire up the secondary rig full-time for winter. 🙂 (Maybe crank the voltage up a bit for more heat output from my main rig too.)
