when i lived in North Dakota, Nobody ever turned off their car during the dead of winter, except for when they parked it in the garage. even when you go to the shopping center or mall or grocery store the vast majority of cars in the parking lot are running with nobody in them.

Yes its a theives buffett, but suprisigly car thefts are very low.

Nope. It won't explode. Did you read where I said I've done this? Liquid (not vapor) gasoline put the match/cigarette out.
