Are you supposed to tip the pizza guy? I mean he doesn't really do much except for bring it to your door and there's already a delivery fee? If you do tip him, how much are you supposed to? What's your take on this?

Tip everybody one hundred dollars. Doesn't matter if what you were purchasing cost a dollar or a million. One hundred dollars.

I tip 2 bucks pretty much wherever tips are expected because I don't believe waiters in fancy restaurants deserve larger tips than waiters in inexpensive places.

Same for food delivery people

Wow, what a skinflint :disgust:
Do you spit in their eye while you're at it? I tip at least five hundred, and I get the best service anywhere and everywhere.

I vote we ban tip threads. What kind of society do we live in where we can argue for 300+ responses about how to tip someone, but can't look at pictures of a clothed attractive woman? This is not the America I know.

drivers make $5 an hour.
Delivery charge let's say is $1.75. Driver gets .75cents a delivery. This is for the gas.

You are supposed to tip. If you think it is just them driving the pizza to you then why the hell should they rush the pizza to your house? They can relax talk on the phone and bring you a cold pizza.
Also drivers drive without car insurance. Their insurance is invalid if they get in a crash.

Its a hard job when you have 3 orders out the door and one of them is already 10 minutes late. Sometimes drivers have 4 orders and it takes 15-30minutes for them to get out the door. So.. please tip

Except the service level at a nice place is usally much higher than cheaper restaurants...not to mention at the expensive places, a server might have 2-3 tables, where as @ the cheap place, they may have a huge section.

As for pizza- usually tip $3-5, unless I'm drunk when it's delivered, then i've been know to tip more
