Delivery charge let's say is $1.75. Driver gets .75cents a delivery. This is for the gas.
You are supposed to tip. If you think it is just them driving the pizza to you then why the hell should they rush the pizza to your house? They can relax talk on the phone and bring you a cold pizza.
Also drivers drive without car insurance. Their insurance is invalid if they get in a crash.
Its a hard job when you have 3 orders out the door and one of them is already 10 minutes late. Sometimes drivers have 4 orders and it takes 15-30minutes for them to get out the door. So.. please tip

Maybe where you live they make $5/hr but here in Cali, everyone makes minimum wage. Add into that just driving around and taking pizzas is a low end job and if they need a higher paying job they can go get one.

tipping is a part of ordering delivery or dining out. if you refuse to acknowledge or can't afford too, simply order take-out and eat at home.

No i don't. I already paid for the pizza and i also pay $2.50 for delivery. Why should i also tip the pizza guy? I am confused who is the employer of the pizza guy, me or the person that he is working for. Why am i supposed to pay pizza company plus pay additional to the pizza guy when i am already paying delivery charge.

yeah, but rent is more than likely double or triple the other states with a lower minimum wage. that and most pizza delivery drivers are students or immigrants that don't have enough work experience or the connections to get a better paying job

I vote we ban tip threads. What kind of society do we live in where we can argue for 300+ responses about how to tip someone, but can't look at pictures of a clothed attractive woman? This is not the America I know.

I use to deliver food for a restaurant that charges $1.50 for delivery.
And no, that money doesn't go into my pocket or my pay.

How about we just ban you instead and continue to bitch and moan and piss all over each other in tip threads anyway? If you need a computer forum to look at porn, you're the biggest epic fail in the history of failboat retarded failness.

do you ever help out the homeless? donate to charity?
when in a position to help others, why wait until they've hit rock bottom? at least they're trying to earn a decent living while there are so many out there just mooching off of our taxes collecting unemployment, food stamps, and medicare.
