Do you throw away your old magazines?

I now have piled up FHM/Stuff/Maxim magazines all over my desk. After taking out all the nice pictures, I'm gonna toss them all out tomorrow.

I know a lot of people that fill their entire bookcases with old magazines, that they probably won't ever read, ever again.

Are you one of them?
 
i tossed ALL of those crappy mags...i never really read em either
just got them because they were free. i do keep car mags though..
 
I have about 5 years of Car Craft... 6 years of Hot Rod Magazine... about 3 years of PCWorld... 2 years of Maximum PC... and now I'm subscribed to Computer Gaming World and starting a collection of that =) I keep most of them cause every now and then I get bored and go read through them again... the car magazines are fun to look at, and the PC magazines are sometimes fun to think back and remember when a 1 Ghz Athlon was in Maximum PC's $3500 Ultimate Gaming Rig. Also find some nice links to websites in those old computer mags... PCWorld had some handy Windows tips there for a while... although the authors were, dare I say, morons.

I have some/most (?) old EGM's since around the teens that I haven't thrown away. I dunno why though. I haven't played a game in about 2-3 years (even though I got a Radeon 9500 hacked, 2500+ OC'ed to 3200+, an 18" LCD and a 21" Sony FD Trinitron for gaming...) Mostly, I try to keep them when possible, but end up tossing stuff when I run out of room for them or say to myself, "what the heck" and toss them sometimes.

I still have some old magazines over 10 years old. <shrug>

I used to have 10 to 98 but I sold them to a friend years ago, I still have some ones from inbetween but not a constant collection. It's fun to to go back and read the reviews on the old games

Me too...I have some issues of EGM from around 10-12 years ago. Every now and then i flip through them for nostalgia purposes.
 
I used to keep mines stored in boxes but found the stacks just growing and growing, with no more space to store it. I just tossed them all out in the trash. Real pain, as hundreds of these magazines weigh a lot!
 
For those of us tempted to dump em:

If you can spare the time, please consider dumping them off at the nearest Goodwill, Sally's Army, convent, barber shop, rest home, dental office, and/or clinical waiting room / lobby, sitting room or anteroom.... tatoo shops or bus stops and hotels in Mexico since there's usually nothing better to read there. Untill everyone's reads it, there's no reason to trash it...just pass it on. People REALLY do appreciate it, since magazines have such a high retail price.
 
I only buy a magazine once in a blue moon (seriously.. like once a year if that).

it usually gets lost in the abyss (= my bedroom)
 
I keep them, don't know why. I still got some of those bigass Computer Shopper mags before they switched to the lame normal sized version.
 
i keep all of them 😛

i have a bookself filled with old mags!!... most dont get read but the Maxims/Stuff/FHM sure gets pulled out alot when my friends come lol.
though im thinking of getting rid of alot... my self is full and i have 25mags from the pass 2-3months thats piled up in the corner cause i dont have room. DAMN hot deals and the free mags!
 
I have the past year of Wired.

Don't hate - it's free and has some interesting articles from time to time. Their photography scares the shat out of me sometimes, though, they put uncomfortably large pictures of ugly people... There was like, a centerfold spread of Linus Torvald's face last month.
