I just realized that back in 2001 when Yahoo made having pop access to their email a paid service that I did it for a whopping $10 (because I preferred using outlook over their crap web-based deal)

I signed up for a year and I remember getting the re-subscribe notice, but the date to have it cut off came and went. I didn't plan on resubscribing because all I get to my yahoo account is trash...

Kinda funny that 2 years after that I'm still able to send and receive mail. Hah.
 
Web2pop works with Yahoo for me. Had problems with Yahoo Pops... wouldn't actually delete the emails on the server from my 3rd party app (Mailwasher).
 
They'll just get you later this year using one of the new anti-terrorist laws, and call it hacking. Say good bye to 'net access. 😉
