Here in northern NY we too are having the problems with tanks being punctured to steal the gas. People are also cutting the catalytic converters from peoples vehicles to sell as scrap.

Hell no. Gas is $4 a gallon and a gallon weighs 8 pounds. That makes gas worth .50 cents a pound. There are easier things to steal that are worth a hell of a lot more.
