Do You think this will work??

I run a fantasy hockey league, ffhockey.com. We want to expand and also cover general hockey news, results, stats etc .. What I want to do is make it all available in a forum format, maybe using FuseTalk (for example) and have a board called News, Results, Standings etc and pos the info in there. This would make it easy for people to talk about certain items, search for them etc. People wouldn't need to register to see the info (just to discuss it). Do you think people would accept this?? It seems very easy from my standpoint

No.

(j/k). that actually sounds like a good idea. You might want to check out IkonBoard - I've found it fairly easy to use. (and it's free! 😀)

I don't know if your site is a subscription site, but you do realize that a Fusetalk license is quite spendy, right?

If you have the revenues coming in, by all means go with Fusetalk. (it is the best.)

n8 well starting next year i will be generating some revenue from the premieum services of the league (not connected with the forum idea). I will with the premieum and our store through cafe press (which I hope to open up by Spring) should make around $250 which would cover FuseTalk. If I don't make as much as I expect, then I can settle for a cheaper board and use the money for Xbox games or something 😀 .... but I figure FuseTalk is a good long term investment.
