Sure. I would push him out the door, next time, at 30,000 feet as should be the fate of any who criticize His Presence, The Obamalama.

I totally understand.. Oregon is a bunch of a liberal hippie pot smoking slackers. I wouldn't want to be associated with them either.

Why is he making such a big deal about comparing the size of Britain to Oregon?

hahaha, I love it. More frustration from the dental hygiene-limited limeys about their relationship with the USA. The comments in the article are awesome, too. They're so scared of losing their so-called "special" relationship with the US following Obama's election. I guess this is what happens when history catches up to you.

I dont think the Brits are insulted, we are just a bitand  that the press would need information explained to them in those terms.

Why is he making such a big deal about comparing the size of Britain to Oregon?
It's like advertising an apartment saying it's 'about the size of an industrial sewage tank'... it might be true but it's not exactly flattering...

So Oregon is an industrial sewage tank? Congratulations, you just beat out Fear No Evil for most retarded thing said in this thread (and that's no small feat). Maybe, just maybe, the CIA Factbook where this information was gleaned from contains references to locations that people from the USA might be more familiar with (assuming anyone isn't familiar with Britain, which admittedly is hard to believe in an increasingly global society). Oregon is a state in the US; I can't think of a single reason people in the United States might be more familiar with the size of Oregon than of Great Britain, can you? It's akin to saying "London, an urban area roughly the size of Chicago." That's not immediately implying that London is a festering, dank, rotting hellpit entirely peopled with rapists and tax attorneys. It's making a comparison between an area people are not familiar with and one they are to give them a better understanding of what to expect. It's a simple comparison... Where the hell does the "not flattering" part come in?
