Do you think there is a way to record NPR's online streams?

I was wondering if anyone found a way to archive/record NPR's online radio streams of their talkshows/interviews so that one can play them back without internet access. They use Windows Media streaming format but I can't dig up from where exactly. Would love to record it somehow though.

Lend me your help guys!

Really? tried it on NPR? They have a different way of streaming, or at least hiding the actual stream...

Try this - I've got a friend that bought it and swears by it. It is only 11.95 - so not too bad if actually works. It is called Total Recorder.

If this does not work you could always run your line out to the line in on your sound card and record. They make a little patch cable for this purpose.
