Do you think the religious text postings in "Hot Deals" are a waste?

I think the forums have really gone off on a tangent lately with everyone wanting to see 'politically correct' acceptance of everyone else's religions. I'd say that I'm as easy-going as the next guy, but for some reason I don't think the Hot Deals forum is the appropriate place to hold a religious battle (crusade?). Really, can we just recognize that there are differing views held by the members here (imagine that!) and just let it go? Let the Hot Deals be just that, and not an advertising/missionary forum...

The religious posts have been more civilized since the whole debate last week. I think it's fine how it is now. I also would like to see the thread crappers in those posts given vacas/banned, also.

As long as a post for a free bible/religious text centers around the deal, there isn't really an issue over it. It's not hard to ignore the threads you don't want to take part in.

In Hot Deals they are off topic.

In Off Topic they are a waste which is why I don't bother reading or responding to them.

I dunno, I always find it simplest and easiest to just let the powers that be around here decide what should and what should not be posted in the hot deals forum. If I come upon a deal, no matter what it is that doesn't appeal to me a quick click of my mouse and the useless offer is go, so it doesn't seem worth getting upset over.

well, afaik, there is no limitation on the quality of a hot deal, so if people don't like them, they should just leave them alone and let them fall. problem solves itself...
