Sometimes the hammer came down for things that I thought were silly. Other times I was shocked by the kinds of shenanigans I got away with. Never know what to expect. 😛

On my forum such a thread would certainly grab the administrator’s attention and re-evaluate all the moderators. I only wonder how many people are afraid to even post anything in this thread for fear of reprisal from the mods. What a shame for the moderators and the board as a whole.

I think overall they are pretty fair and do a decent job, even more so considering that they are not compensated for their time. Are they perfect every time about every incident?, no, but who is, I've been here 14 years and have never been banned and only 2 infractions (posting NSFW stuff and not labeling it as so). if you generally behave yourself and "think" before hitting "post reply" you will have no problems here. I do wish they would ease off a bit on squashing the necro threads so quickly, I don't understand why that happens but at the end of the day it's no biggie..

Ignoring would be not replying at all. People have been posting their ignore list forever. Creative not found.

I don't have a single person on ignore because I'm not butthurt when other people have reasonable opposing viewpoints. I guess when the bodies in your basement begin piling up you can become fairly dense.

Yea, we have one member who lists the people on his "ignore" list in his sig, along with the warning, "care to join the list of the great abyss" or some similar bullcrap, yea, OMG!, I'm terrified I might be on your ignore list!, OMG! ...LOL at it's finest..

Compared to NotebookReview I find the mods very fair here. I have only received one PM from a mod so far here.
I really think likes, and reputation are over rated.

agreed. there have been a couple necro threads recently that i tried to post in but they were closed. but the content was still relevant. just like you say, let it live or die on its merits.

ok now if someone spammed necro threads that's one thing but they are too heavy handed with locking necro's in general.
