Question is for those who believe the Earth to be around 4.6 billion years, or greater (in other words, not for young earthers/creationists). Please, no flaming, and there are no lawn chairs allowed within 5,000 feet of this thread 😉

And if you'd like to weigh in on the age of the universe, please do so 🙂
 
No, I do not believe it is that old. I (as well as most Christians) do not adhere to the conventional 'scientific' evidence that this planet has been around for any length of time comparable to billions of years. Instead, the evidence I look at, The Bible, points to a much shorter amount of time: around 10,000 years.

Actually, only a *very* small minority of Christians believe that the earth has been around for a much shorter amount of time. Even the Catholics believe in the Big Bang Theory, and we all know how backwards they are sometimes.

Well, let's face it- most Christians who are hardcore enough to believe that the Earth is only 10,000 years old are probably as dumb as cow crap.

It would require burying your head in the sand and totally ignoring common sense. When do you think the dinosaurs existed, and when do you think humans came about?
 
Well, given that I'm not a geologist nor an astronomer, I'll take what they told me in geology 101 and astronomy 101: around 4.5 billion years.

Oh, and also that part about the earth revolving around the sun - I think that's probably true too. Even though galileo had to renounce his claims against god and the church.
