I'd say yes. For a number of reasons...
-In the US, we're not in the best straights with the economic state
-Maturity of processing leading to better yields, and higher-speed bins
-The holiday buying season is behind us
-The post-holiday buying season is behind us
-If prices stay high, people will be contented to wait for unreleased products
_ Such as photos of the ~9800GX2 dangling...
-People buying desktops less and less- leading towards less of a market, less demand
-Rising prices of LCDs due to:
_ -Iridium shortage-concerns
_ -Rising glass prices for screens
-The discontinuation of the first run of GTS cards
-Discontinuation of GTX cards due to new GTS cards
-In the 8600 series, the GS will be introduced, and either the GT or the GTS will disappear as the GT can be overclocked to almost match performance of the GTS
If not in January, definitely in the first quarter- although that is a bit more ensured if a new product comes down the line- or some competition...
