Why is everyone getting their panties in a bunch? Realistically, anytime around now would be a stupid time to attack.

Assuming they do attack, what are the chances that YOU personally will be caught in it? So small its virtually insignificant. I'd say you have a better chance of being hit by a bolt of lightning, and then run over by a car, twice, while youre holding your 100 million winning lottery ticket then being anywhere remotely near a terrorist attack.

I have been a new yorker all my life, it didnt scare me then, it doesnt scare me now, so wtf is everyone worrying about? If common sense isnt enough to appeal to you, hopefully statistics will be.

Mine are hanging loose and free but I see your point. We hear of possibly 5,000 al-qaeda members living in the US, terrorisms accumulating weapons of minor destruction (pipe bombs, etc.), suicide attacks coming here, et. al. Pretty fearful stuff. Potentionally.

We are an open society and vulnerable, 'tis true. We need to ask why our open society has never been threatened until the later half of the 20th century. Nobody is looking at the root causes, only the symptoms. Treating symptoms can be very profitable but the patients deserve a cure.
