well, if you believe the tin-foil brigade, it was a mod/admin ploy to bring traffic to the site.

He was banned to "look like they were annyoed" and brought back "out of the kindness of their heart"

I think the bigger 'guillibility' factor, if that story is true, is that the mods want us to believe they werent part of it.
