Do you think Office's current interface is getting old and hard to use?

TBH I'm surprised to hear Microsoft say that their current interface for Office is no longer adequate to make things easy to use and find, which is why they need their completely revamped UI in Office 12. Personally, I feel that the current interface is terrific and that everything is very organized and a breeze to get to. So am I the only one that feels this way, or is MS really designing a new UI just for looks?

New Word 12 UI
New PowerPoint 12 UI
New Excel 12 UI
New Access 12 UI

I am looking forward to the new OneNote 12, however.

Work for me.

Depending on what you use word for most of the time the current interface is fine. Some stuff is really buried in menus and almost impossible to find easily. I'm looking forward to the new office interface, not that i'm planning on buying it but i'm hoping Open Office will eventually incorpoate some of the ribbon design. Open Office is good enough for me.

The current interface could use some improvement. Obviously if you are a veteran Office user, you probably know the interface like the back of your hand. Still, I find that there are features and options buried deep within menus and dialog boxes that I have trouble finding.

One thing that I wish Microsoft would stop doing is using a completely new set of common controls to build each new revision of Office. The Office UI looks nothing like every other Windows application and breaks Microsoft's own design guidelines. Moreover, if they want to introduce a new look and feel for Windows apps, they should make it available to other developers to maintain a consistent design.

Those menu bars are horribly large and bloated.
How exactly are we meant to see enough of the screen to be able to do some work?
