Hi group,
I'm trying to select all of the components for building a HTPC. One of the main things I really like is the Soundstorm feature that isn't supported past the NF2 chipset apparently.
My plan was to buy a Abit NF7S board with a 2500+ CPU, but now with all of the talk about all of these new AMD64 CPU's and the NF4 boards coming out, I'm a little nervious buying such dated hardware for a new system (which prolly won't be bought until around December).
What do you guys think? Would you have any trouble buying a new NF2 board for a new system anytime soon? Granted, this won't be a PC that needs a super ammount of horsepower, so the 2500+ (or whatever the socket A goes up to) might be enough for what I want to do. I just really hate to limit myself just because I'd like to get Soundstorm.
Thanks!
Aaron
