Do you think Leo Laporte ever gets sick of talking?

I just was browsing through my podcast subscriptions, and like 90% of them have Leo Laporte on them.

Based on his site, it appears he is in roughly 13 podcasts a week (one of which is daily) as well as a weekly 2 hour radio show.

Think he's sick of talking?

The ones that talk the most are the ones who like hearing the sound of their own voice.
Think on these things and prosper.

Leo's not up on things like he used to be. I don't really pay attention to what he has to say nowadays.

For the most part I think his podcasts are pretty good. Better than most of the dorks that put out tech podcasts anyway.

Basically he falls behind but doesn't act like he knows everything which makes it okay when he gets things wrong....he's a pretty capable host as far as the people he associates with...

LOL. I don't know I find his discussions with the other hosts to be very stimulating. It's not like he's a bad host or anything, he just loves what he does. Is that a bad thing? You be the judge of that.

Leo's a guy that loves what he's doing so he puts a lot of energy into it. He never says that he knows it all and is usually pretty frank with folks that call into his show. There are some interesting exchanges between him and the other hosts on his various podcasts that are entertaining and informative. I like how he takes info from his IRC chat room and injects it into the conversation as appropriate. Frankly when it comes to tech podcasts he's really the only one I bother listening too.

This is extremely nerdy of me, but the problem I have with tech podcasts is that I've already heard all the latest news about the issues... And my expertise in the area is usually superior to Leo's or Dvorak's. I cringe when they stumble over a basic fact. I still listen because occasionally they go "deeper" than news articles or my own knowledge gets.

Consider how much you speak in your daily routine. 13 podcast shows and a 2 hour show is nothing.

It would have been a great idea if streaming audio wasn't already around for over a decade before the word "podcast" entered the lexicon. Man, I can't stand the word "lexicon." Talking about all these shitty words has made me start using shitty words. I'm so pissed, I just slammed the door shut on some kid's nuts.

Podcasting: It's snob for "streaming audio."

Podcatcher: Any idiot with an iPod, web browser, or ears

At least Leo Laporte talks about different subjects in each of his podcasts.

I can only imagine how boring it must be to be a presidential candidate right now... most of them have been repeating the same talking points in their speeches for the past 10 months or so now, and the front runners still have another 10 months to go!

Honestly he runs some of the most popular podcasts on the internet, give the guy a little credit? Does he get bored? Probably, but no one here has asked who Leo is because he's made himself a name. Major props (woop woop!) to that. Tired of talking? People have radio shows that are on air 5 days a week for 4 hours a day. That's a lot more talking then a 35 minute podcast. I doubt his workload is overwhelming enough for him to legitimately get "tired of talking".

Funny, I just started my podcast with a few friends of mine discussing local topics this week. Episode 1 airs Sunday night.

They were amazing shows... The Lab with Leo is an ok replacement for Call for Help but it still isn't the same. :(

And that's only for Canada, so most of us US goers don't get it, including me :(
