Do you think Hero is a better movie than Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon?

I love CTHD, but I haven't seen Hero. Where can one get this movie? (legally)

Five Star Laser

Poker Industries

I don't know much about Poker Industries except that they advertise on various sites and sold DVDs at one point on eBay. Five Star Laser has a B&M store in San Gabriel, CA, so I go there instead of online. And yes, these are legitimate copies since my uncle bought the Hero DVD from Five Star Laser. He even got a slip of paper about the background of the movie since _nothing_ except the subtitles are in English.

Edit: I forgot my opinion of the movie. I thought the plot was slightly better although I don't remember much from CTHD. But Hero seemed really short.

Crouching Tiger was alrite, I just cant picture the "God of Gamblers" in a kung fu movie, but anyways
Hero was boring...I don't care if u guys say I didn't think hard enough or blah blah blah....don't worry I understand the point of the movie. This movie is gonna bomb, fighting scenes were alrite, but I just could never get into it. Atleast in crouching tiger I was into the movie.

Cool. I never thought of ordering it from Ebay. What with the SARS scare, I was afraid of ordering it from my regular Hong Kong DVD online store -- now I can order it from a US retailer and finally watch it! Woo hoo!😀

I haven't seen it yet... Being Chinese I didnt think CTHD was that good... It was just a spruced up and Americanized a little bit but still its the same kind of regular old kung-fu movie.

I'm guessing Hero is going to be along similar lines. They obviously can't do the good guy wins in the end. The other typical kung-fu movie endings are: the bad guy turned good character dies(ie CTHD) or you find out in the end one of the main characters who you thought was good is actually the baddest bad guy ever and proceeds to whoop everyone.

Yeah it wasn't the same.

No can you have Chow do a film with no guns in it!!!!!! Man he kicks ass as an action/guns type of guy. Not a great martial artist though, much better out. But with guns I love seeing the guy.

Going to watch Hero sometime soon. This is a remake isn't it? I thought I saw hero with some other guys in the film but not Jet Li in it......

Saw it once, kinda hard to understand the first time through, tho I kinda go it. The Chinese is kinda complicated, I didn't have subtitles. I dunno, for the first time through, I think CTHD is a little better, but I dunno about deeper analysis.

Yeah "God of Gamblers" rocked, and Replacement Killers was cool too. There's that new movie, with him in it...forgot what it was called...Jet Li is awesome, but I always pictured him doing kung fu, not that fantasy fighting in Hero.
