I picked Business Adminstration as my major for college and I'm wondering if you guys think thats a good idea or not. I have no idea what I want to do after I graduate but I do want to open up my own bubble tea store =D

Business Administration is not a major, its a department. I graduated with a BA degree. I emphazied in Computer Information System. So yes, its a good start

It depends what school.

At my school, it was a major and you could concentration in a particular field (finance, acct, MIS, mgmt). BSAD is good if you want to own your own bubble tea store (well, better than say, any social or hard science).

don't do management b/c what kind of firm will take a BBA and let em start in a management role

BBA is a great degree if you're coming from a top university

I got my BSBA with an emphasis in ISMN ("new" designation for MIS). So I am somewhat biased but I think it's a pretty good degree.

Business is good, and then pick an emphasis that interests you, ie finance, accounting, marketing, management, MIS, etc.

I got a management position (Asst. IT Manager) with a growing company as a new graduate.

most ppl from the BBA program here go to wall street or audit

not many ppl do management b/c everyone wants a management role in a fortune 500 firm

I'm perfectly fine cutting my teeth and gaining experience in a smaller, growing company.
