Do you think flowers stink?

I just don't see how people find that flowers smell "good". Maybe it's an allergy thing, maybe I just have a hypersensitive olfactory nerve or something. I just know that getting a wiff of a boquet of flowers just makes me cringe, and then sneeze repetatively.

I bring this topic up because the receptionist got a big flower basket from her hubby yesterday and she has it sitting up on the desk. Everytime I walk by I have to hold my breath to prevent myself from inhaling the the putrid cloud of "flower stench" that surrounds it 🙂

Some do, especially in a mixed bouquet there are some dried elements + eucalyptus leaves that are sort of 'iffy' smelling. Some of them.. (lillies maybe?) have a definite stench blast even moreso in the evening, really overpowering.

Can't go wrong with roses and no filler flowers 🙂

You should've been relieved that she didn't get a bouquet of Raflesia Arnoldi. This carnivorous flower stinks like road kills.

Hmm, I thought you meant on an individual basis.. I can kinda understand how a mixed bouquet could smell bad..

And there are certainly some flowers that stink, but... lol.. definately not all..

Roses don't smell bad at all..

Flowers are great. But what's awful are these people that overuse perfume or cologne. I want to turn the hose on em. Worse then any skunk because you are stuck in the same room with them. Atleast with a skunk you can usually get away from the smelly ah heck. Don't use that crap...or very little if any.

I like flowers. One of my good friends is a weirdo-kinda-botanist. He does crazy things like set seeds next to a container of his collection of radioactive rocks from smoke detectors so that the seeds grow strangely when he plants them 🙂 He's got some crazy cross breeds too.

Anyway, most flowers smell great.

Personally, I do not much care for the smell of flowers.. and sometimes they do make me sneeze. Funny how women dig them, though..

I like the smell of most flowers, but because of my allergy I can't smell them, I would literally sneeze myself to death.
