do you tell people about your future plans?

it always seems like when I tell people about certain plans and what I wish to do in say couple years, I jinx myself and it rarely comes through. I tend to be a dreamer who would rather think than act.
The plans are definitely attainable and not that hard to do but something always gets in the way if I have told people about it beforehand
Superstitious 🙁

It's OK to be hopeful. But many people want to see other people miserable. It's no wonder I love my dog more than my gf, lol.

couldn't help it, too easy

i'm one of the types that doesn't have a whole lot of future plans. kind of a drifter, i guess. i have been extremely fortunate to drift into a nice life for myself though.

I have big future plans and I always tell anyone who's willing to listen. You never know when someone can become a great asset to you or give you a good connection for something you need.

You can dream all you want, but if you don't tell others what you're doing, or don't take action to make those dreams come true, then you're dreaming about false hope. you're hoping to accomplish something, but do you believe you can? if you don't, then you're wasting your time.

Good point.

I just have in the past tended to not have goals, so I am guaranteed to surpass them.

It's worked well so far. Got my BA, going for my MA, bought my house. Maybe I'll not set a goal for a PhD. Thinking about it...
