I do not, but i have recently learned one of my friends does, really stupidly so.

So do you? any weird drems lately? sad ones that when you wake up you'd pay anything not to have to experience it again?

i think the subconscious mind may be more perspective than anything, due to its not obstructed by all other sensory organs and other chemicle imbalances and nerve pulses that cause thoughts when you are awake....but is it to be taken seriously depending on the dream?

Not at all. I've had great dreams about winning money, cavorting with beautiful women, etc. and they damn sure never came to fruition so why would I believe anything should be made out of any of them?

I had a dream that there were about 200 cats in my back yard and they had surrounded my cats like a wagon train. I was getting my gun and couldn't find the bullets and I was frantically hollering for my wife to come find them. She came down the steps and asked me what I was looking for and then told me they were in the china closet. I was loading the gun, but my mouth was so dry, it kept my concentration off and I couldn't get the gun loaded. I dropped the bullets and wanted a drink of water.
Then I woke up.
It's a good thing for those gypsy cats.

I don't. My wife does though. She thinks her recently deceased father contacts her in her dreams. Makes her feel good though, so I don't say anything.

No.
Lucid dreaming is fun, but one should know that dreams are not reality. After all, they are created by our own minds.
I've got advice a few times in my dreams, though. There were several times when I've managed to notice some important details about things in real life while I was thinking inside a dream. Experimenting with alternate realities and possible future scenarios can be very helpful.

I'd done some reading on dream theories earlier this week. Since then I've remembered my dreams (I usually don't).

Lately my dreams have been waking me up.

I didn't try any technique or anything, just tried to be aware of what I am dreaming about and focus on it when I go back to sleep.

Food for thought...

I hate the dreams where you are trying to run but can't get anywhere.

Or the dreams I had as a kid where these spider-monsters wore trenchcoats and hats and would shoot spiders out of their sleeves into the mouths of people to turn them into spider monsters. That was pretty freaky for a 5 year old.

But no, I don't take them seriously.

Nope. Probably a good thing too.

I have sleep apnea & sleep with a CPAP, when it's not working my dreams are extraordinarily violent (and very vivid as well).

I've killed my entire family many times, along with other absolutely horrible things.

Sometimes takes a while after I wake up for the feelings of guilt to subside but other than that I don't pay much attention.

i have some entrepreneurial dreams sometimes: "oh, this would be a terrific business idea," i think while i'm half awake. when i wake up and recall the dream, i'm thinking to myself "wait, this already exists in some sort of fashion" or "eh, it won't work."

i wish the answers to all financial problems would be solved in my sleep. so far, no go. :p

After the zombie apocalypse dreams I've started carrying a loaded gun safety-off when answering the door.

(Flanders was a zombie?)

Let's see, after I helped a secret government organization bust Michael Jordan at his beachfront house, then swam under a bombed-out bridge while being shot at by said government agents...

I realized that I probably shouldn't take my dreams too seriously.

I don't really take them seriously, but at times they can be really cool and inspiring. At others they can offer a window into the subconscious, it's pretty cool to see real life concerns translated into the language of dreams. Of course those are best case scenarios, a lot of the time they're really gay... I once dreamed I was watching an infomercial

When I was younger, I tended to have recurring dreams - where in my dream I would feel familiar with what's going on, but some of the details would change. Sometimes it would reoccur again until a year later. I also occasionally have dreams about tornadoes, still.
