Do you take naps?

no time,

workworkwork, play with my 6m old daughter, listen to the wife complain/talk about nonsence, game, sleep, rinse, repeat

no, never.

I used to when I worked a split schedule (12 am - 8 am half the week, and 4 pm - 12 am the other half) because I was tired a lot and learned to sleep whenever I could. now that I'm on a set schedule, though, I'm very rarely tired in the middle of the afternoon and try to avoid naps because they fvck up my sleeping schedule.

There's your problem. Learn how to nap through this while still appearing attentive.
