Do you take a language course?

Are you failing it?

I'm a Junior in HS and I'm in French IV and about to fail. Hate it. Can't stand learning it anymore. Especially my teacher..

I doubt I can survive French V.

I'm in Spanish 4 and I'm still doing fine, have a B+, but I plan to get an A- this next grading period 😉

If I can, I want to take Spanish 5 next year, and then get a minor in it when I go to college 🙂

yep took german in HS and German in College, i failed Geerman 3 in college, had to retake it
was required to take 3 levels in college to graduate

I am taking korean 101. I don't know why I get myself into this....

🙁

knowing little bit of korean is cool, but not when you are trying to study for it. no way that I will take another language course again.

i am fluent in chinese and english(read, write, speak, listen). 😀

learning korean is like learning chinese when I was young. I HATE THAT FEELING!

In college, taking 7th semester japanese.

it's a lot of work.

(of the original 9 that signed up, 3 dropped. not even the calculus courses i've taken had that kind of drop rate  )

Latin, French, Spanish, and some recreational Italian (audited a class in college just to learn enough to be able to survive in Italy).

I didn't fail French, but French 2 and 3 were definitely a struggle. Latin was probably the easiest, followed by Spanish and Italian, which are almost the same language.

the introductory physics series probably had more failures though.

do you already know the language?

if so, why the heck are you wasting your time in a 101 course?

no, i am not a native speaker and my japanese is pretty sh!tty. its just that college courses turned out much easier than i expected; i didnt know what to expect this being my first japanese class. another thing is my schedule was pretty hectic even without japanese added to it, but still had to maintain full credit hours status (international student requirement, go figure). couldnt afford taking chances with higher level courses 🙁
