Whenever I eat, smell or sometimes even think of foods that are spicy, I start to sweat. Sometimes profusely if the food is hot enough. My dad was the same way and so is one of my four brothers.

I'm so sensitive to spicy things that just reading the thread on hot wing recipies I felt my the sweat forming on my scalp. Opening a jar of mustard or ketchup also does it.

Anyone else have the same thing happen with spicy foods?

I do, but only with intense heat. I don't generally sweat from commercially prepared food, but if I order something extra special hot for myself, or doctor it on my own I sweat.

yes but not as much as my co-worker and this other friend of mine. they look like they just got out of the shower with their clothes on.

george costanza sweats when he eats kung pao chicken but i think he's just nervous about lying about something else.

I am not that fat where simply eating makes me sweat.

I suggest you stop eating if that's your case. :(

No sweat. Nose drips a bit though if it's really spicy*.

*By really spicy I'm talking a couple hundred thousand scovilles or more.

Only if it's GOOD.

Jalapeno's make me sweat if they're fresh. I love them deep-fried.
The pickled ones that they give you in most Mexican restaurants...not so much.
I have enough sense to NOT eat habaneros/scotch bonnets or any of the other "nuclear peppers."

Only if it's prolonged eating like wings or mustard. If it's really hot I will have sweat dripping off my head and face like it's 120 degrees. I have to actually "shake" the sweat off my head every few minutes. Love me some hot food.

It's not a good Korean curry if my nose isn't running or my forehead isn't glistening.

Has to be incredibly hot to make me sweat. A film of sweat forms on my forehead when the hotness threshold is reached.

In retrospect, having re-read the title, I don't remember if I sweat when eating Puerto Rican foods or not..."beloved patriot-ey" :p

But spicy foods is another subject.

Only when it's really spicy. Also get nasal dribbles and my lungs like to bring up gunk.
