Tabbed browsing is not new. Learn to use it. CTRL+click to open each of your subscribed threads in a different tab and check the slow ones after they load.

Waiting one long time for everything to load is a million times better than interrupting your work flow and generating multiple painstakingly-slow loads, especially with an unreliable/intermittent mobile connection.

Yes, the Jesus Hume Christ thread will bring nearly any mobile device to it's knees but there are some times when even the normal posts-per-page setting will do that so I just avoid it when mobile.
