Do you stir clockwise or counter-clockwise?

Ah, a very complex question indeed! Of course the substance one is stirring plays a significant role as to the direction it is stirred.

I take one of the mixing &quot;things&quot; from my wife's egg beater and chuck it in a DeWalt 24volt cordless drill. Set the gearbox on high (2) and plunge the mess in the pitcher and let it rip. Gets the equivalent of a Lipton F5 going too! It's great.

I'm a righty and it seems like I always stirs counter-clockwise. This applies to both smaller objects like cups etc. and bigger things like bowls etc.
