22, still has my wisdom teefs and need to get them removed but I'm skurred. 🙁

skurred of what? the pain?

I just hate dentists, plus a lot of people always talk about how horrible removing them is.

I was too, just find one that does sedation dentistry and it will be over before you know it.

I just had all my teeth removed, I'm only 36. Really had no choice, bad car accident where I tried to use the steering wheel for a teething ring.

I had the top two pulled when I was ~18 and the bottom two came in just fine and are still with me.

I don't know why this is odd. I'm 24 and still have my wisdom teeth. They finally started to give me some serious pain. I went to the dentist and he suggested they come out, which I'm totally for since they hurt like hell right now. Everyone here at work is like "you still have them?" and then they go on to tell me some story about their fiasco.

Do you guys still have em!?

the older you get the slower the bone will fill back in after the extraction.
get them out asap as it's to your benefit.

bone? time to hit the googles.

I can't figure why people say they "hate dentists". It would be a lot worse for you if there were no dentists. i mean, someone has to do the job, right? dentists are not setting out to hurt you. they try hard to make the pain minimal.
the longer you wait, the chances are the worse it is going to be, and 9 times out of 10 it isn't as bad as you anticipated.

wow... sorry to hear about that. so you have full upper and lower dentures now?

Had my wisdom teeth removed 8 years ago when I was 22.
At the time only 3 appeared in the x-ray......unfortunately all of them were horizontally impacted.

I don't hate them as in the person; I hate visiting the dentist. Same with hospitals. I'm just one of those weirdos.

it gives us a complex and hurts our feewings when you say, "i hate coming here" all the time. 🙁

i've had quite a few women say they'd rather give birth than come to the dentist. it's really not that bad.

My dentist always comments that I have so many tattoos and that's "worse" than anything she does to me, but it's not the same! I'm definitely one of those people that just has some sort of thing of hating going to the dentist and hospitals. It's illogical, but I can't help it!

 though!

I can attest that for me it wasn't bad at all. Yeah, I kinda had to be reminded to breathe a couple times while I was under, but that's all I remember from the procedure. Then I bled for eight hours, and that was it. No swelling, no pain, I was eating normal foods the next day.

It's not you, it's me.

Nope, had them removed when I was 21. For some strange reason I only had 3 wisdom teeth.

You're a dentist (or at least work in dentist office). I didn't know that about you.

i recently had 2 taken out. one was a pain and the other came out easily. The 2 up top aren't giving me any problems.

I'm 39 and still have all of mine. I got all 4 of my premolars pulled when I was about 12 (before I got braces), so that's why I had room for them to grow in normally. My spouse is 40 and is one of those people who just doesn't have wisdom teeth (he also never grew a couple of adult teeth elsewhere.) It will be interesting to see if either of our kids follows in his footsteps.

I got all 4 of mine pulled last November when I was 21. I guess I came out of anesthesia and was swearing at assistants. I saw them come into the room with my credit card. My mom said I gave it to them, but I don't remember it. So I was like "Where the fuck did you get that?!?" all pissed off. Keep in my my mouth is filled with bloody cotton as I'm swearing at people cause in my mind I was robbed. All while swaying back and forth cause I was still out of it from the being put under.

They didn't like me. But they were all bitches before even putting me down. Even my mom said she is never going back there again because they were rude to her too while she was in the waiting room.
