I haven't had a home line for a while since it never got used simply use the cell phone everywhere, anyone else rid themselves of the extra expense?

cell only, we dropped VoIP back in August or Sept.

4 people, 3 phones, two plans, both on T-Mobile

the nearest T-Mobile tower is close enough we get full bars in the upstairs of our house and it only drops one bar in the basement, so we have never dropped a call in our house

I have VOIP so I can send and recieve faxes and so DirecTV can call home and spy on me. I rarely use it for calls.

i do have fake VoIP to trick my Dish box
i got a USB box that is supposed to allow me to use my normal telephone with Skype, it does give me a dial tone, but it won't dial correctly

so i fed it back into the house line so the Dish box gets a dial tone, it isn't smart enough to realize it never actually connects to dish

at least i don't get the nag screen anymore

I only get 3 bars and sometimes none in our neighborhood because it's in a valley, so I keep Sunrocket $9.99 plan for emergencies. Also we use it when we have to sign up for something or give out a number to someone temporarily. Apply for a re-fi or something and they sell your information, suddenly 30 salespeople are calling night and day, ban the numbers and they disappear.
Plus we use the intercom function on the phones extensively.

Landline and cell. Use the landline and answering machine for telemarketers and people I don't generally want to deal with.

grrr...lately Tmobile has been dropping my calls like crazy, even in my apartment where I get full bars. I do not know what the problem is. I thought it was just my phone, my gf has been having the same problem. I may have to start bugging Tmobile soon.
