Do you still have a *GASP* corded phone in your house?

In our kitchen we have a phone hanging on the wall that's probably 15 years old(hey, at least it's touch tone!). It's got a cord that'll stretch a good 25 feet...basically it'll reach any room on the top floor of our house with ease.

It's unsightful...but dammit it's come in handy when there are long power outages. When people come over they chuckle and make jokes about our archiac means of telephony. But when the power goes out, and the cell phone battery dies, guess who can still call for pizza delivery? :D

Yes, in the kitchen for when the power goes out and we need a phone, but it does still have caller ID built in so it doesn't look anciet :p.

I also have a corded phone in the garage.

Nope, and it was a PITA during the blackout. I need to get one to add to our little disaster kit.

Have one on an end table next to the couch. As mentioned above, it's nice to have when the power goes out.

And by corded...I mean there's actually a cord between the handset and the receiver. Cordless phones that are still attached to a landline don't count as "corded". They are actually worse than cell phones because if you loose power they are totally useless. Whereas a cell phone is only useless after the battery dies.

None at my apartment at school between the four of us. Out of the half dozen or so landlines at my house, I think 2 or 3 are corded. But they're on endtables or nighstands and there's no need for them to be cordless.

I have one, always nice when someone misplaces the cordless one.

I have 2, in case the power goes out. I don't have a cell phone either, probably the only one without one in Idaho ;)

We have one that we've had for as long as I can remember so its gotta be at least 20 years old. Thing thing works great too and I prefer it over a cordless phone.
