do you still get nervous about something you do regularly?

The only thing that comes to mind is when I take my car on a race track. The track marshal at the start tells the person gridded up front how many minutes till green flag. Everybody behind puts up fingers indicating how many minutes left. While everybody is staring each other down revving their engines.

nerve racking until you get going and then I'm ok.

I sometimes feel a tad nervous when I first go to touch electrical wires to be worked on. I always give it a quick swipe to confirm the power is REALLY out. :p

Sometimes I get nervous driving in traffic if the conditions are right. Bad drivers are scary.

No, thankfully. At my last job I did, though. . every Monday we would have an office meeting of like 50 people and they decided to start doing 'icebreakers' every week. Really awkward and forced public speaking, would always freak me out by being unpredictable. Great way to start a Monday.

Funny thing is everyone hated it seemed to be a kind of show of force by management i.e. 'dance, monkeys!'

That's about the only thing that makes me nervous, too.

Speaking before a large group of people---that used to back in the '70's, but the military sorta cured me of that. Sure did make college easier after I got out.

Running ultras. Still nervous and jittery the day before, the morning of, throughout the pre race pick up, and until it starts. Then I'm good. No guarantee that I'll finish at that point in time, but the pre-race jitters stop.

Yep, I will quote Lt. Steven McCaffrey "The only problem is that in this job is there's just no place to hide. It's not like having a bad day selling log cabins. You have a bad day here and somebody dies... and that's just not fucking good enough.."

So yeah, I get a little nervous at work. I am entrusted with getting a group of people home safely to their families, at the end of their shift. The day I treat it as just another day at the office, is the day my retirement gets processed.

So you are a bus driver?

Every time I get behind the wheel after drinking a bottle of wine with my lady friend. I cross my fingers that the police don't pull me over, or that no check point is setup on my way home.

Masturbation. My entire family and I live in a trailer so I have to do it discreetly at night and hope for the best.

I used to break a slight sweat (not weather related) every time for about the first thirty computers I built.
