We didn't dress up, but we went out with the kids. In the very most serious way, I swear, unto God himself, to his face, that my 18 month old boy dressed as a lion, is the cutest living creature to ever spring forth from this planet.

Went into the liqueur store and I seen several people dressed up entering the store. One guy was a cop wearing a fake badge. I thought to myself, well that's gonna play out nice, I mean impersonation of a police officer carries a mighty stiff penalty in this state.

Oh yeah...went to work(I work at Portland State University) dressed up as Ron Burgundy (from Anchorman).

Had a blast.One lady saw me in costume and blurted out "Oh My God,it's Ron Burgundy!!!".

Couldn't stop giggling after that.

Grown up doesn't have to mean not dressing up. I view it more as taking responsibility and being true to yourself. If they like doing that, and aren't hurting anyone, I say more power to them.
