in the mornings, hopefully when no one is around, after brushing teeth. Can never get all of that out in one go.

Also have to hack up nasty shit from sinuses from time to time, and sending it out through the 'ol pie hole has long been the most efficient route.

I regret making this thread. :(

Often. I produce a lot of saliva for some reason. But I don't in the presence of people. It's basically ritual for me to walk up to a urinal, spit, then piss. Must be one of those OCD things.

why can't people swallow their saliva? I just don't understand this.

While in Kenya some years ago, I was sitting around a fire one night with some native Kenyans (this was out in the bush country) and being quizzed about the US. I felt a sneeze coming, pulled out my handkerchief and sneezed into it, and put it back in my pocket.

The conversation stopped. The Kenyans are shooting furtive looks at each other and there is an awkward pause.

After a minute or so, one Kenyan asked if he could ask me a question, and I said of course.

"Could I ask you, Mr. Bob... why are you saving that?"

to my second point: sinuses. I'm one of those people whose saliva generally contains some % of mucus. swallowing it sends it down to the stomach and will eventually come back up again later.

A little when I get my occasional can of Copenhagen. I spit til the loose bits are out of my mouth, then swallow the rest.

Mostly swallow nowadays. I used to spit into my shirt and thought it wouldn't show up.

Don't you have a thread where you're supposed to do all of your business?

I feel dumber just from reading some of the idiotic thread titles in this forum.

When I brush my teeth and occasionally when I run and my saliva thickens. Other than that it is very, very rare that I'll spit. Never when others are around though.
