it actually depends on the drug you are using. Some it is ok to swallow, some drugs you should spit out

I have yet to see anyone who uses chewing tobacco swallow...

but then I haven't seen anyone use chewing tobacco in about 5 years

I sometimes swallow my snus. I very seldom chew gum, but when I do, I swallow it.

I can't swallow a gum even if I tried. I don't really actively swallow anything, it just happens naturally as part of the chewing process, and because of how gum is made it just never goes down. I have accidentally swallowed gum before though, guess it somehow gets stuck a certain way where it does go down.

Sure, but I can tell you one of my boys had severe cramping when he was younger -think around 7 or 8. Found out he was swallowing his gum and it was building up in his intestines. Xrays were plain as day.
