Ever since I started using the computer more in college my eyes have gottem progressively worse. It has been a 6 year downhill slide.

Nope. Spend at least 8 hours per day staring at a Dell UltraSharp 18.1" and my vision has yet to be affected.

Same here, lcds seem to be a lot easier on the eyes.

i started using my computer alot more since i got to college this year and for the first time i am supposed to get glasses. is it related? i do not know. i have had perfect eyes my entire life and they suddenly went dowhill after i got to school. you are probably only affected on an individual basis. it might be bad for my eyes, but fine for somebody else. just my thoughts.

Nope. My vision has actually slightly improved over the years. More than likely due to me wearing hard lenses.

Ive yet to see a study proving that eye strain has any link to the level of prescription one needs.
