What do you mean the ground?? like you just lay it down wherever you want with a blanket. You essentially have no need for a bedroom.

When camping: ground
When at home: matress

The funny thing is when I'm camping I get very little sleep. I spend most of the night dozing and then waking up. I was out this weekend and the rain kept waking me up. Surprisingly I felt better then next morning than when I spend a full night asleep in my bed. Go figure.

my neck always in pain if i sleep on the ground. I did that for a week. for the first 2 nights, I drank a beer and fell asleep real quick, but if you can't fall asleep, that would be really sucks.
I feel your pain...:(

Only time I sleep on the floor is when I'm deathly ill with the flu.

Don't know what it is, but sleeping on the floor doesn't make me as naseous. Maybe something to do with being closer to the ground and not elevated and how that works with your balance and affecting the nausea. No clue. But that's the only time I take the floor.

I actuially do the same. I would sleep on the floor if there was a way to keep my neck streight on a pillow, but since there isn't I just have a really firm mattress w/o a boxspring on the floor, with the pillow on the ground. Yeah, I know I'm weird.

I like it, low to the ground. I have a dual pillowtop matress so that might help out a little on cusioning.

I slept on a bed when I was little, then I got this little cot thing and slept on that until I totally wore destroyed it, then I got an old couch and slept on that until I totally destroyed it, then I slept on the floor on a blanket for years, and a few months ago I bought a nice bed and now I sleep on that. I could sleep out on the sidewalk if I had to.

Who here hangs from a bar, like a bat?

Mattresses, (BOX and Mattress) on the ground. Formally on a waterbed mattress.

I think I'd find a cheap air mattress before I'd sleep on the ground/floor for weeks.

Futon mattress on the ground. It's like sleeping on the floor, only more expensive. ;)
